The moment I learned of the Bonneville Salt Flats I wanted to see, experience, and photograph this magical landscape. I first learned about this special place because of the Bonneville Speedway and time trial events that take place there, but I quickly realized that I was late to the party. It's been a destination for photographers and social media enthusiasts long before it ever came onto my radar. I thought "I must go". So I bunked in Salt Lake City and drove West very early in the morning as the sun rose behind me. As any photographer would, I imagined seeing blue skies and the iconic Silver Island Mountains rising behind the flats. What I hadn't factored in were the wildfires raging just outside of Salt Lake City, creating a smokey pink haze in the air that held a beauty of its own. The drive was spooky and exciting, even other-worldly, but when I arrived I spied something even more fascinating than these salt flats...the people. I COULD NOT LOOK AWAY. I was captivated by what people do when they think no one is looking. What they'd do for an exciting social media post. These are some of my favorite photographs of all time. Full Bleed – All images are printed to the edge of the paper so there is no border.
Canson Baryta Paper – Heavy, pure white paper with a satin surface that mimics darkroom photo paper.
Cold Mounted to Gator Board – Art is permanently affixed to rigid, lightweight gator board surface.
99% UV Acrylic – Protects art from 99% of UV rays which is recommended if art will be hung in a bright area to prevent fading.
Spacers – Matching wood spacers to ensure alignment.
D-Ring Hanging Hardware – Two D-rings, attached to the back of the frame to be used with wall hooks provide a secure hold (30 x 20 and 36 x 24 sizes).
Cleat Hanging Hardware – Interlocking wood cleats, mounted on the frame and your hanging surface provide a secure hold (45 x 30 and 60 x 40 sizes).
